What is an internship?
A non-traditional learning experience
An opportunity for a student to explore a potential career/job by working at a worksite
Learn first hand about a particular industry or occupation.
What is involved in an internship?
Minimum of 40 hours of work
Periodic updates with internship supervisor
½ credit
pass/fail course
all work is unpaid
Where can I do an internship?
Several internships are available here at BMR for juniors and seniors
Internships may also be set up at workplaces outside the school
Examples of past internships: law enforcement, elementary teacher, medical facilities
Why would I want to do do an internship?
Course credit (1/2 credit)

When can I do an internship?
BMR internships can be done during the day if you have a study hall, and/or before and after school
Hours for internships at off-campus sites are set up by the employer, student, and internship supervisor
